Experts meet during the day, but the discussion will not be restricted to specialists. We also want to hear your voice at two public events

The user is the content’: a debate that will take place April 26 - 20:00 at HETPALEIS, and focusses on the impact of User Generated Content on traditional media, publishers and cultural organisations. What about the copyright? And what about the future?
Speakers are Louis Vuchelen (coordinator B.O.S.S. – Multimedia Online – Sabam), Bob Young (CEO of LuLu.com), Dick Rijcken (freelance consultant new media) and Loïc Lemeur (former director SixApart EMEA).
Gareth Mitchell (BBC Digital Planet) will moderate the debate. In the audience a lot of experts such as Ana Pejcinova (Open Source), Patrick Peiffer (Creative Commons Luxemburg), David Osimo (IPTS), John Buckman (Magnatune), Carlo Van Baelen (Vlaams Fonds voor de Letteren), Jan Bierhoff (EC/DC) and Paul Gerhardt (BBC Digital Archive).

April 27 will focus on the music industry, looking at alternative ways of distribution and promotion. The evening will start at 20:00 and will take at Muziekcentrum TRIX.
Guests are: John Buckman (founder of Magnatune), Sebastien Kalonji - The WAB (Wack Attack Barrack), Maarten Quagebuer - Rock’ O co management and representatives of Sellaband.
This time no debate, but a talkshow with statements of artists and ‘you’ the audience. Musical guests are The Oslo Deathtrash from Huy, a MySpace band, also publishing at The WAB via iTunes.
